The Hospital has expanded its activity and has grown into a 231 bedded multi speciality hospital. Serving around 1600 – 1800 out patients daily, this hospital provides good quality health care at a highly subsidised rate. This Hospital has several departments and a wide range of facilities to provide effective medical care. Every year, new facilities are being made available, thereby adding to its growth.
Sir Ivan Stedeford Hospital was started on 25th February 1966 on the Avadi – Ambattur Trunk Road. The Hospital marked a significant milestone in the history of the AMM Foundation.
A close friend of the A.M.Murugappa Chettiar, Sir Ivan Stedeford was instrumental in starting the TI factory and TII complex in India. As a mark of respect to this illustrious entrepreneur, the new Hospital to be run by the Trust was named after Sir Ivan Stedeford.

Every year, new facilities are being made available, thereby adding to its growth. The multi-specialty hospital has been serving about 5 lakhs patients a year.
